Card payments in Australia have increased by 17% from 2022, reaching a total of AUD 936 billion (USD 593 billion).
Growth in Debit and Credit Card Usage
Debit card usage saw a rise with transaction volumes up by 14% and value up by 16%. Credit card usage also experienced growth, with volumes increasing by 13% and value by 18%.
Adoption of Mobile Wallets
Mobile wallets were notably used for 2.4 billion transactions, accumulating a total worth of USD 93 billion.
