Loyalty Science Lab research found that Australian consumers are the most privacy-conscious compared to those in the UK, USA, and India. 18% of Australian consumers prefer none of their information to be used by brands.

Australian consumers also scored equal lowest with the UK across six measures of loyalty program engagement, which include:

  • Using the loyalty card or app when buying
  • Redeeming rewards
  • Switching spend
  • Promoting through word of mouth
  • Reading program communications

Woolworths Group has been identified as Australia's leading loyalty brand. In comparison, the leading brands in other countries are Tesco in the UK, Target in the US, and Flipkart in India.
