The Australian Red Cross Lifeblood's 9-month loyalty program pilot successfully attracted 90,000 people, now boasting a total of 130,000 participants. Initially, the agency faced a 40% churn rate within its 550,000 donor base. Statistics indicate that 62% of the active donor base contributes once or twice annually. To boost donor retention, the new loyalty strategy rewards participants with a branded gift every third donation. These gifts include beanies, coffee cups, water bottles, caps, and blankets.
