The new digital offerings from Commonwealth Bank, which include the loyalty program Yello, aim to establish a long-term competitive advantage and create differentiation in the banking sector. This strategy is pivotal, particularly in areas where key products such as mortgages have become commoditized.

In terms of market valuation, ANZ and Westpac are both trading at 1.1 times book value. NAB trades at 1.5 times, while CBA, as one of the most richly valued banks globally, trades at 2.4 times book value.
