Metcash Eyes $30M Boost by 2029

Metcash aims for a $30m annual earnings boost by 2029, rolling out Retail Media across supermarkets, liquor, and hardware divisions.

Metcash is planning Retail Media to deliver an Au$30m annual earnings contribution by 2029. Its supermarkets, which include IGA (equipped with the IGA Rewards loyalty program), Foodland, and Campbells, will initiate this strategy starting this year. The liquor segment, comprising Cellarbrations and Bottle-O (both introducing new loyalty programs) along with IGA Liquor, will follow in the second year. The remaining segments of the group, which include Mitre10, Home Hardware, Total Tools, and Harding, are set to join in the third year.
