Nissan Motor Corporation's Security Breach
Last year, the operation of Nissan Motor Corporation in Australia and New Zealand experienced a significant security breach, resulting in the theft of personal details from approximately 100,000 customers. The compromised data included sensitive information such as Medicare cards, driver's licenses, passports, and tax file numbers.
In response to the incident, Nissan established a call center dedicated to addressing customer concerns regarding the breach. However, recent developments have revealed that this call center has now also been compromised.
The newly breached dataset contains customer names, contact details, dates of birth, and a summary description of the content communicated through the initial cyber incident notification letters sent by Nissan.
